          Polycom on Wednesday confirmed Eric Brown as chief financial officer and chief operating officer, consolidating those two functions under one executive.

          It's part of an ongoing executive team makeover at Polycom that's brought new blood to almost all of its key executive team positions in the past three years.

          Brown joins Polycom from video game software titan Electronic Arts, where he was executive vice president and CFO.

          He reports to Polycom President and CEO Andy Miller and is responsible for all of Polycom's financial, operational and IT functions. He replaces outgoing EVP and CFO Mike Kourey, whom Polycom confirmed is retiring from the company as of March 7.

          Before his stint at Electronic Arts, Brown was COO and CFO at McAfee, and before that, president and CFO of MicroStrategy.
